A Milestone I’ll Never Forget

I don’t even fully know how to put this into words yet, but I wanted to take a moment to share something really special.

Veil of Embers has officially hit multiple Amazon bestseller lists.

Seeing it reach Top 10 in Mythology, along with ranking in the Top 20 and Top 100 in other categories, is something I never expected to experience this early. It’s surreal, and honestly, a little overwhelming in the best way.

More than anything, I feel incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every single reader who took a chance on this story. Grateful for those who have shared it ( Street Team I’m looking at you 💚) reviewed it, recommended it, and supported it in ways both big and small. Every bit of that support matters more than I can properly express.

I’m also deeply proud of the work that went into bringing this book to life.

This story took time, persistence, and a lot of learning along the way. And it wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible people who helped shape it. From design to editing to every behind-the-scenes detail, this has truly been a team effort.

Thank you for being part of it.

⭐️Special Editions coming soon⭐️

Special editions have truly been a labor of love. I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out how to create something that feels special, high quality, and true to the world of Veil of Embers, without pushing the price beyond what feels reasonable.

I worked with my cover designer and illustrator, Llysaan, to create custom sprayed edges because I wanted something personal to the story. Her work brings a kind of magic to the book that felt irreplaceable, and I knew she was the right person to bring that vision to life.

From there, I looked into foil stamping. Not just printed foil, but real stamped foil with texture. I wanted something durable that would hold up over time. Quality has always been important to me, and I wanted these editions to feel like something you could keep on your shelf for years.

Right now, the best option for that level of quality is through BookVault. Because they are based in the UK, production and shipping can take several weeks, and the overall cost per book ends up higher than I am comfortable asking readers to pay.

So instead, I’m planning to offer these as preorders directly through my website.

Here’s how that will work. Once preorders are open, I will collect orders first and then place a bulk print order. This allows me to reduce production and shipping costs so I can offer these editions at a more accessible price.

It does mean a slightly longer wait time, but it also means I can deliver the quality I want without compromising on design or cost.

I will be sharing more details, previews, and preorder information soon. 🤍 a sneek peek at the edges ** this is not finalized and this is not the whole picture again I’m sharing a snippet with you. Please do not use this. This is commissioned work.

New art 🍀🍀

I commissioned Mora_drawing on Instagram to draw two scenes for my book in her 90s inspired style and I couldn’t be more excited with how they came out.

I love commissioning art and I wish I had all the money so I could commission a ridiculous amount of art, but I’m slowly chipping away at other characters and I have something so exciting coming soon!!!!

✨COVER and MAP ✨

Let’s be honest, everything about creating a fantasy world is difficult 😅. I hand-drew my fantasy map and made countless attempts on different apps to create a world digitally, and it just wasn’t what I wanted.

The cover was the same story. I tried countless times and even bought one from an artist, but I just wasn’t super thrilled with the pieces I had not because they were bad, but because I wanted my readers to have a genuine piece of art they’d want to collect on their shelves.

Then I got lucky enough to stumble upon Llysaan’s Instagram page, where I fell in love with so much of her artwork. I followed her over to TikTok, and eventually I was able to commission her to create the cover, the map, and the inside art for the book.

I could not be more excited and thrilled to finally share what that looks like ✨ so here it is in all its glory. I hope you guys love it as much as I do. I’ll share more of the interior art as we get closer to release!
